Happy B(52)Day to Me!

Anyone who knows me KNOWS I’m obsessed with The B-52’s. So getting the chance to party with them on my BDay Weekend in Palm Springs was a dream come true. I can die. My life is now complete. Cindy is my fave. (Don’t tell Kate.) She’s got that Earth Momma vibe that makes her glow. And she also speaks in thick-as-molasses drawl that instantly endears her to everyone. She walked up and gave us all a hug. I may have peed a little. Kate is in her 60’s and still looks stunning. She’s clearly the group leader. (Don’t tell Fred.) She acts like everyone’s big sister. She was slightly more subdued at the post-concert meet-and-greet. Imagine my genuine surprise when Fred invited us to a BDay party for Kate’s partner. (Don’t tell Keith.) All in all … the single coolest night of my life. Ever.

Good Morning Michael
Were glad to hear you ha a great Birthday. “the single coolest night of my life. Ever.” Now that had to be a cool night
It’s amazing how you have been smitten with the B-52’s most all of your life.
I think the only song I remember is “Love Shack”
I guess the song I liked was Bobby Darin’s Mack the Knife” ……Old Mackies back in town” When I was working down in Moline in the 60’s (I think) they used to play it all the time and the guy;s I worked with would say “OLD MACKIES BACK IN TOWM”
I guess I don’t remember a lot about the B-52’s except your passion for them.
I wonder how they picked their name The B-52 was a Heavy Bomber in WWLL
Take care…See you Easter
Ciao
